Colombian police officers must carry, in several parts, their ID Number. El PAIS, a local newspaper explains this in this article.
As you may notice in the following video, none of the policemen carry an identifying number and/or plate, therefore, the Colombian civilians cannot denounce abuse cases. This isn't the only case, it's nationally spread and the population keeps reporting these anomalies, which makes everything more difficult, because no one know who's the person underneath those uniforms and helmets. Police murder cases are increasing at alarming rates, but the Colombian civilians can't denounce, or at least know who committed those crimes. Some sources state that paramilitary infiltration is taking place during these protests days.
