Even though the First of May is also a worldwide workers' day, during this day, the Colombian abuses and civil rights increased. Both the Inter-American Commission on Human Rights and several congressmen addressed their concern, since the police and the government has been avoiding, interfering, intimidating and/or directly attacking the Human Rights Observers commissioned for these days.
